Glamorous Xmas Party Look

Hello lovelies,

As this time of year is filled with parties and events, I thought I would try out a glamorous look for the festive season.

When I apply make-up on myself I tend to focus on the eyes rather than the lips and enjoy rocking a dramatic eye with nude lips and this is what I have created in this case.

To create this look I used the following,

Foundation: Mary Kay Matte finish foundation in Ivory4
Concealer: Mary Kay Concealer in Ivory 2

Halloween Inspired: Anime Doll Look

Hey Guys,

So I know Halloween is now over, but we haven't celebrated it yet!! I have been invited to a party tonight and so it feels like my Halloween hasn't even started yet!

In the build up to Halloween I have been thinking about what to go as and I have been loving the YouTube videos by Promise Phan aka dope2111.  If you haven't seen any of her videos yet, you must check them out. She is known for her amazing transformations into characters like Drake, Mystique, Angelina Jolie and many more.

I was mesmerized by her Anime transformation and wanted to try it out for Halloween, plus it gave me a chance to buy a blue wig (which I have wanted to buy for ages!!)

So here is my first attempt at the look, I'm not sure if I like this 100% but I think with a bit more contouring and a slight change to the eye shape it will do just fine and I still get to wear my wig for Halloween!!

I think 'with a few tweaks I can get this looking like a really creepy doll for the party tonight!

Plus, I get to team the outfit with my awesome new shoes!

I just hope I don't fall over in them!

Have a great Friday everyone!!

Halloween Inspired: Vampire look

Greetings to my ghoulish readers,

Its October and I seem to be more excited about Halloween this year than I have been for years!  I think it may be because I know what our plans are for Halloween this year and it's not going to be a last minute fumble around to create something!

So this year, I thought I would start early and try out a few looks to get in the mood!

I found some great teeth that you stick on your own teeth with putty, so I had to start out with a Vampire look.
I created a dark smokey eye using purples and blacks and made sure the halo of purple showed above the crease.

The products I used were the following:

FACE:
Foundation: 17 MIracle Matte Foundation in Porcelain
Concealer: Mary Kay Concealer in Ivory 2

EYES:
Primer: Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
Eyeshadows: Black and purple shades from the eye colour palette (similar to Coastal Scents 88 palette).
Eyeliner: Collection2000 Extreme 24hfelt tip liner in black
Mascara: Mary Kay Lash Love Mascara in Black

LIPS:
Lipstick: Kryolan palette

I'm not sure if this will be my look for the night , but it was fun to try!

What will you be dressing up as this Halloween?

My Katy Perry Inspired Look

Hello all you lovely people!

In the hopes to kick start my creative juices, I have decided to set myself a weekly challenge and the first name I pulled out of the hat (literally!) was Katy Perry.

I have never been much of a fan of hers, not for any real reason as I like her songs, but just didnt really pay much attention during the whole Russel Brand saga.  However, I was intrigued to see what her movie was about so I went to see 'Part of Me', Katy Perry's concert film/documentary a while ago and I'll admit I was blown away.  It was amazing to see how 'real' she is and how hard she works and has worked to achieve the career she has.

I even shed a few tears when you could see how much she was putting herself through and when she finally broke down in tears I just wanted to run up to the screen and give her a big hug! Obviously, I stayed glued to my seat and I gave her a mental hug instead!

So after hours of looking through the images I could find of Katy Perry, I settled on this one.  I thought this is a great look, its simple and definitely suits the summer months (I'm still clinging on) with the mixture of bright colours.

Here's my bronze inspired look!

I wanted to keep it quite simple with just a splash of bronze across the eyelid so you get the impact as you flutter your lashes!

Looks: Pink & Purple

Hello my beauties, on such a miserable, rainy day, I decided to brighten things up a bit with a splash of colour.

Although I was using colour here, I wanted to keep it quite natural so that it would suit for a day look for work or shopping without being too dramatic.

So here's my look, I kept it very matte with just a splash of shimmer on the inner corners of the eyes to open them up.

The products I used were:

For the face:
Mary Kay Foundation primer
Mary Kay Concealer in Ivory 2
Mary Kay Timewise Matte foundation in ivory 3

For the eyes:
Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades in No.2 Blushalicious (the lightest shade was used as a base all over the eye area)
Mary Kay Eyeshadow in Iris (used in the crease and blended)
Mary Kay Eyeshadow in Chocolate Kiss (used along the outer corner of the eye to create a little more depth)
Mary Kay Eyeshadow in Sweet Pink (used as the highlight and applied along the brow bone and on the eyelid.
Stargazer Eye Dust in No.14 (applied to the inner corner of the eye)
Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner in Black
Daniel Sandler Jumbo Jet Mascara in Black

For the Cheeks:
Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades in No.2 Blushalicious (I used a mixture of the pink and peach colours on the cheeks)

I hope you guys enjoy this look as much as I did!

Looks: Turquoise & Orange

As I was looking through my summer wardrobe, I spotted a birght T-shirt that I hadn’t worn for ages! It was bright orange with flowers on it and turquoise leaves. As I was looking at this shirt I thought about how the colours work well together and so I came up with this look!!

Here is the T-shirt that inspired me!!
